Network and structure monitoring

Monitoring means measuring how infrastructure behaves over time. ETS delivers monitoring systems for water supply networks, sewer networks, facilities, structures and infrastructure, collecting data that supports day-to-day operation, preventive maintenance and the planning of works.

From installing the sensors to collecting and visualising the data, we offer integrated solutions that combine hardware, software and specialist expertise to provide continuous knowledge of the condition of infrastructure.

Water supply monitoring

Keeping track of water network performance

We build monitoring systems for water supply networks that capture real-time information on the main operating parameters. Flow, pressure and levels are measured by instruments installed directly on the network, making it possible to analyse its behaviour and spot anomalies promptly.

The data collected supports day-to-day operation, district metering, leakage control, verification of works and the optimisation of network performance.

Applications

  • Flow monitoring
  • Pressure monitoring
  • Level monitoring
  • District metered areas (DMA)
  • Water balances
  • Network performance control

Sewer monitoring

Understanding how the network behaves over time

Monitoring sewer networks shows how the system works in normal conditions and during rainfall events. We install instruments to measure flow, level and other hydraulic parameters, providing essential data for network management, hydraulic modelling and the planning of works.

The information collected makes it possible to analyse how the pipes behave, identify critical points and manage urban drainage infrastructure more efficiently.

Applications

  • Flow monitoring
  • Level monitoring
  • Rainfall events
  • Hydraulic modelling
  • Network performance analysis
  • Design support

Structural monitoring

Safety and control of infrastructure

ETS delivers structural monitoring systems for civil works and strategic infrastructure, installing sensors dedicated to continuous monitoring of the condition of each structure.

The solutions we adopt make it possible to monitor displacement, deformation, vibration, acceleration, temperature and other significant parameters, providing useful information to assess how structural behaviour evolves, identify anomalies and schedule maintenance.

Through integration with the expertise of the Axeya Group, the data acquired can also be used for numerical modelling and the creation of Digital Twins, for advanced analysis and predictive maintenance strategies.

Areas of application

  • Bridges
  • Dams
  • Reservoirs
  • Hydraulic works
  • Industrial buildings

Hardware

Sensors designed for monitoring networks and structures

ETS builds into its monitoring systems proprietary devices developed within the Axeya Group, designed for reliable, accurate and continuous data acquisition.

Having in-house hardware lets us deliver tailored solutions that adapt to different types of infrastructure and integrate fully with the software platforms for management and analysis.

Flow meters - clamp-on for water supply

Ultrasonic meters that install on the outside of the pipe without interrupting the service, ideal for temporary or permanent monitoring campaigns.

‘Shoe’ sensors for sewers

Instruments designed to monitor flow in sewer networks, suited even to particularly harsh environments.

Dataloggers

Acquisition systems designed to collect, store and transmit data from the installed sensors, ensuring continuous measurement and integration with supervisory platforms.

MonStr system

Developed by Asdea, MonStr is a proprietary structural monitoring system that combines sensor nodes, data acquisition and advanced algorithms for continuous monitoring of infrastructure health. The system is also ready for Digital Twin and predictive maintenance applications.

Software

Dedicated platforms to visualise, analyse and interpret the data acquired.

The effectiveness of a monitoring system depends on its ability to turn the data collected into useful information for those who manage infrastructure. That is why ETS integrates proprietary software platforms developed within the Axeya Group, able to acquire, process, visualise and interpret large volumes of field data.

The platforms make it possible to monitor networks in real time, build digital models, analyse performance and guide technical decisions based on verified data.
